The Lynnhaven Wahoos Baseball Program exists to develop skilled, disciplined, and competitive young athletes who embody teamwork, respect, and integrity both on and off the field.
Our goal is to prepare every player for the next level—from youth travel baseball through middle school and high school—by emphasizing strong fundamentals, accountability, and character development in every aspect of training and play.
Success is achieved through cooperation and unity
We treat teammates, opponents, and officials with courtesy and sportsmanship
We do the right thing even when no one is watching
All team members are responsible for their actions and performance
We prepare with focus, play with purpose, and carry ourselves with professionalism
We give maximum effort and strive to win with humility and class
Our coaching staff believes in developing the whole player — physically, mentally, and emotionally. We emphasize learning and improvement through structured repetition, open communication, and positive reinforcement. We hold players to high standards of discipline and effort, encouraging them to take ownership of their development and performance.
We believe players perform best when expectations are clear and consistent. Practice is designed to teach situational awareness, fundamentals, and baseball IQ. Effort, focus, and teamwork are non-negotiable. Our role as coaches is to prepare each player for success on the field and for life beyond it.

Our primary goal extends far beyond the diamond: to develop young men of character who are prepared to live lives of integrity and value. We believe that baseball is the tool—character is the goal. The game serves as the vehicle we use to reinforce the traits that matter most: consistency, accountability, and resilience.
In pursuit of this, we are committed to preparing our players for success in middle school, high school baseball, and beyond. However, the ultimate test of our preparation is our collective goal to win a Cooperstown Experience 12U Championship in 2028. We chase this "Crown Jewel of Youth Baseball" not just for the trophy, but because the discipline required to win it is the exact discipline required to succeed in life.
